"A Million Suns" by Beth Revis

Release Date: January 10th, 2012
Publisher: Razorbill
Format: ARC
Age Group: Young Adult

Godspeed was fueled by lies. Now it is ruled by chaos.

It's been three months since Amy was unplugged. The life she always knew is over. And everywhere she looks, she sees the walls of the spaceship Godspeed. But there may just be hope: Elder has assumed leadership of the ship. He's finally free to enact his vision - no more Phydus, no more lies.

But when Elder discovers shocking news about the ship, he and Amy race to discover the truth behind life on Godspeed. They must work together to unlock a puzzle that was set in motion hundreds of years earlier, unable to fight the romance that's growing between them and the chaos that threatens to tear them apart.

They have to get off this ship.

This one is going to be short, because I don't want to give away too much about either book. Let me tell you, though, this was one heck of a sequel. It starts off with a huge shocker, one I certainly didn't expect, but it gave an excellent unravelling point for all of the secrets locked up inside Godspeed. And boy does Godspeed have a ton of secrets. With Elder now the current Eldest, he's got to try and calm the people and keep the ship from complete chaos. Unfortunately, Elder isn't sure he's completely ready for the task and there isn't a lot of room for error.

After everything that happened in book one, Amy has certainly got her own opinions about what should be taking place aboard the ship. When she starts uncovering secrets that were left for her to find and starts to piece together some horrible truths, she is adamant about what she thinks Elder needs to do.

Things have never been easy aboard Godspeed, but the tension and chaos have only gotten worse. This was an excellent follow up to ACROSS THE UNIVERSE and I can't wait to see what the next book holds for us. This one had quite an ending on it and I can only imagine what kinds of twists we are going to get in book three!

  6. Wow! This sounds very intriguing. It's true that life has never been easy aboard Godspeed but I guess I expected there to be fewer problems now that Elder has taken charge. I'm really looking forward to reading this sequel. Thank you for sharing your thoughts:)

  8. I'm excited to read this one and I currently have it out of the library (unfortunately I have others due before it so I must read those first)! I was concerned the sequel would not stand up to the first but I'm glad to hear this one is good, and with a twist at the beginning no less!
