ReplyDeleteHmmm let me see, I would have to say the Eiffel Tower in Paris! it's the coolest thing ever.
ReplyDeleteThe thai temple that is made ENTIRELY of glass bottles! It's amazing.
ReplyDeleteI don't know that I've ever been to that cool of a tourist attraction. I've been to the Statue of Liberty, and a haunted house in Williamsburg, VA, which was pretty cool. (:
ReplyDeleteI used to live in a historic village (now I visit it). It's got this quality to it of quiet life, with little shops (including olde time shoppes), and there's a nice park with a canal to walk by. Very tranquil. :) I love it!
ReplyDeleteI never been to one before soo... yeah.
ReplyDeletethe Black hole sun in Seattle Wa.
ReplyDeleteI don't travel too much, but I have been to Niagara Falls numerous times, since I live not too far away.
ReplyDeleteThanks for thr giveaway! :)
sarabara081
I've been to the world's largest ball of twine here in MN
ReplyDeleteHmm... I have no idea, when I was little at Bruney Island, a place in Tasmania, Australia, there used to be all these weird and mystical alice in wonderland sculptures from trees, but they're gone now. They were pretty exceptional.
ReplyDeleteI went to the sheds where they were building floats for the Rose Parade. I think decorating floats with millions of flowers can be considered a little weird!
ReplyDeleteThis is Your Brain on Books
Awesome question! I haven't really seen many tourist attractions even though I've been on plenty of family vacations. One that I can remember is the Silver Dollar lady in Nevada. It's a huge painting of a lady whose dress is made up completely of silver dollars.
ReplyDeleteumm.. Since I haven't been to many places I guess the coolest one I have seen is the veteran memorial wall in D.C. seriously awesome design and intense to read all the names. Great giveaway btw, thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteIve been to the giant crater in Az before=)
ReplyDeleteI've mostly only traveled around Australia and I remember seeing both the Big Bananna in Coffs Harbour, and this giant sheep, though I can't remember where that is. The Big Bananna actually wasn't too bad because they had one of those toboggon rides where you're on a cart thing in a metal pipe and this shop with lots of bananna food (although I don't really like banannas). Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to travel much because I still have school and mostly stay in the city. But I went to Cebu a few years back and there's this small place where there's a symbolic mural. There were lots of tourists there, taking pictures. And yet, I couldn't see why they were so excited about it.
ReplyDeleteThe coolest tourist attraction I've ever been was the time I went to Bali. I saw a fire eater, fire dancing, well... every kind of thing you can do with fire. It was frightening and exciting, really.
ReplyDeleteA museum of ghosts, literally ghosts.
ReplyDeletebelieve it or not, it was a school trip
regards,
So exciting!
ReplyDeleteI haven't really been to a cool tourist attraction. Once I went to an art museum and saw Lady Gaga, if that counts. XDDD
I can't remember the name of the place but it was when I visited the Isle of Wight, and we went to what we thought was a theme park but was actually set in the side of some kind of cliff so the entire walk through eas down a zig-zag steep hill with really bizarre statues all the way around. Very odd, lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway. :o)
I haven't really seen many tourist attractions, but i guess baguio.. it's really cool there because of the stores, food and view:)
ReplyDeleteThe coolest I have been to is the Serengeti in Tanzania to watch the annual Wilderbeest migration.
ReplyDeleteCarol T
buddytho {at} gmail DOT com
the coolest attraction i saw was the "transumange" in swizterland ( all the cows descend from the mountain with flowers and such)
ReplyDeletethanks you for this great giveaway
Well, I didn't travel to a lot of places in my life, but I really liked Piata Mica(The Small Square) and Piata Mare (The Big Square) in the centre of Sibiu, in Romania. The houses are very old and pretty, and there are also a lot of great museums there!
ReplyDeleteIntramuros in Manila is the coolest tourist attraction for me. I also enjoyed touring Old Jakarta when I visited Indonesia. :)
ReplyDeleteThe coolest tourist attraction I've ever been to would have to be The Statue of Liberty. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI don't really travel much so the coolest for me is the bat cave in Xiamen, China. It was nice and not nice at the same time because if you're unlucky, you'll be splattered with bat droopings. It was a very nice experience, and you have to be thin to be able to pass through the inside of the cave.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
I dont travel much but I have seen the worlds largest wicker basket (it was the worlds largest when I saw it) and I always went down some caves a place called cheddar gorge in the Uk. The graves are awesome, there some great formations of rock etc down there including one that looks like a witch... there's a witch story about the caves :-)
ReplyDeleteHmm, I dont about weirdest. My last trip was to England and that was cool. There are so many to name from there, but just being in England was nice. Going to Paris this summer though
ReplyDeleteteressaoliver at gmail dot com
I was once a crazed Twilight (BOOK) fan and traveled to Forks. Now I' m just team Forks and travel there often. Everyone should see the Hoh Rainforest, The Space needle in Seattle, and First Beach in the lifetime..... all of it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
I am not much of a tourist, I want to travel more but never get the chance. But the most weird place I've been as a tourist was an old catholic church in Rhodes, Greece, at its garden there were dozens of peacocks, the were really weird and adorable. They climb on trees and sound a lot like cats. I've never seen so many up close. It was great! :)
ReplyDeleteThe weirdest (and there's a lot of weird in my province!) would have to be the giant sausage ring in Mundare, Alberta. They make the best sausage and obviously had to put something up for people who drive through to know that. There's also a giant egg somewhere ... and there's a giant hockey stick in Edmonton, Alberta!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big traveller, I haven't visited much countries. So I'm gonna say Hungary is my favorite, the capital city is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI don't really travel much, but I did go to Anne of Green Gable's house in PEI, kinda cool :P
ReplyDeleteA haunted cave! Very cool:)
ReplyDeleteI've only ever been to one, I think.
ReplyDeleteI live in Florida and when we go to the beach we go to Ft Desoto and they have a museum and the fort still stands with the cannons and empty dark rooms. Its pretty creepy. My sisters and I sneak off and scare people as they enter the rooms. Its mean but fun. Thank goodness nobody ever got mad. :)
Hummm I would have to say my own town for this one.. We have a dead deer as out attraction.. I find it slightly odd... yet people come from far to see it.
ReplyDeleteamymccarty at hotmail.com
The Predjama Castle.
ReplyDeleteThe castle is built within a cave mouth! How cool is that? :)
I love this: Sandboarding in Floripa. It's very cool. *-* (http://www.gofloripa.com/Activites-Sports/Sandboarding)
ReplyDeletethanks!

What's the weirdest/coolest tourist attraction you have ever been to?
ReplyDeleteI drove past The Big Banana in northern Australia. That was strange!
Disney World is one of a kind. There's also carhenge, but it's not worth going out of your way to see.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the weirdest/coolest tourist attraction you have ever been to?
ReplyDeleteIn Serbia, there is one attraction called Đavolja Varoš (Devil's Town), and it's so unusual.
The northern rim of the grand canyon, not a soul to be seen.
ReplyDeleteThere's a historic village just outside of Fredericton, NB (where I currently live) that I think is pretty cool. Once you step in, it's almost like the rest of the world slips away, and you've gone back in time. It's fun, but a bit unsettling.
ReplyDeletethriftshopgrrl AT hotmail DOT com
The coolest would probably be the Ripley's Aquarium. Where you walk through and the fish and sea animals are on both sides and above you.
ReplyDeleteGFC Heather Schrock
hschrock24112(at)yahoo(dot)com

ReplyDeleteThe coolest tourist attraction would be the Colosseum in Rome. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the awesome giveaway! :D
That would be the nature reserve in East Malaysia. It was kinda fun watching the orangutans interact with each other and drink milk from the milk bottle. :D
ReplyDeleteWell, the weirdest... it's not even really a tourist attraction, but a symbol of the life lost at this particular place when a number of members of the French resistance were shot by the Nazis. The first time I saw it, all I could see was this big tick with a ball in the crook. Really it's supposed to be a man with his arms held out in praise, but to this day my family still call the monument the "ball and tick" at the Plateau des Glières.
ReplyDeleteVisit to well, beside a temple, at the foot of a hill. I wasn't even sure that the history was even real.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome to enter my giveaway of Dragon's Oath, and I'll be extremely appreciative if you spread the news!

Weirdest, strangest and hockyest, the upside down White House in the Wisconsin Dells. My kids screamed and I laughed and at the end I had to take my 2 year old out...he was hysterical. Silly for me and scary for the kids. I would not waste my money again on that attraction. I did enjoy the Grotto of Redemption in Iowa. Very unique and different. I'm not Catholic and yet I enjoyed the rock creations of Christ. Thanks Lisa lisapeters at yahoo dot com Lisa GFC and Button FB Twitter Cenneidigh

The coolest one I have been to would have to be The New England Aquarium, but that was years and years ago and I might not think it is as cool anymore now that I'm older lol. ReplyDeleteI've seen a lot of really awesome things -but the weirdest was the Kutna Hora Bone Church in the Czech Republic. It's a little church just outside of Prague that is completely built of human bones (there was an overflow in the cemetery during the Plague and they decided to do something with the displaced bones).
