Waiting on Wednesday: Strangelets by Michelle Gagnon

"Waiting on Wednesday" is a weekly event hosted over at Breaking the Spine, that showcases our most wanted upcoming releases.
Release Date: April 9th, 2013
Publisher: Soho Teen
On a day like any other, six smarter-than-most teens wake up in the same hospital after having experienced a traumatic event that they can't quite remember ... other than being forcibly sucked into an abyss at the moment of their deaths. Somebody or something seems to be pulling the strings. With individual clocks ticking─and with each guarding an individual secret─they band together and conspire to piece together the whole of what happened.

Soon they discover that they've been trapped in a future that isn't of their making: a deadly, desolate world at once entirely familiar and utterly strange. Only one of them holds the key to getting them home. But which one, and why? As the truth is revealed through the eyes of its three key players, the reader is taken on a dark journey into both the hearts of teens who must do anything to survive, and into the heart of a parent who will do anything to protect his child.
Okay, first off, how spooky is that cover?! A book about dead kids trapped in a hospital, in an unknown place and time, basically sounds the coolest premise ever. And with the added promise of deadly secrets, this definitely sounds like an amazing read.
What are you waiting on this week?

  2. This book sounds like total awesome-sauce!! Seriously, I love those psycological, mind warping type thrillers, and that's exactly what this book sounds like. AND there's memory loss! For some reason, I always love memory loss books. Memory loss just makes a story so much better in my opinion. ;) And I love how this book is set in the future. Which makes it even cooler than it already sounded! Add in a creep-tastic cover, and we have a totally amazing sounding book.

Thank you SO much for sharing Sarah! This one is totally going on my TBR.

  3. Wow this one sounds really awesome. I'm surprised that this is the first time I'm seeing this one, I'll have to make sure to remember it when it comes out.
    Great pick!
