THE LAST PRINCESS by Galaxy Craze
*Release Date: May 1st, 2012*

Publisher: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers

Happily ever after is a thing of the past.A series of natural disasters has decimated the earth. Cut off from the rest of the world, England is a dark place. The sun rarely shines, food is scarce, and groups of criminals roam the woods, searching for prey. The people are growing restless.
When a ruthless revolutionary sets out to overthrow the crown, he makes the royal family his first target. Blood is shed in Buckingham Palace, and only sixteen-year-old Princess Eliza manages to escape.
Determined to kill the man who destroyed her family, Eliza joins the enemy forces in disguise. She has nothing left to live for but revenge, until she meets someone who helps her remember how to hope--and to love--once more. Now she must risk everything to ensure that she not become... The Last Princess.

I am fascinated by royalty. I don't really understand the need for it, or why other countries rely on a monarchy, but I am always curious about the inner workings and what kinds of things go on amongst royal people. So a dystopian world, with an undercover royal who is out to kick butt and take names, seems like the most awesome thing I could ever imagine. Also, I am in love with this author's name! Definitely a book I am dying to get my hands on :0)

  2. I agree with Amy there are so many books out there that I've never heard of and love learning about them. Of course that just means my TBR list is too long. Here's my WoW

  3. HOW HAVE I NOT HEARD OF THIS BEFORE? 0_0 Set in England. Post-apocalyptic. Royalty. Gorgeous cover. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW I DIDN'T HEAR OF THIS BEFORE. Honestly, the minute I finished reading the pitch I clicked over to Goodreads and added it. This book needs to be mine. (Also, is it bad that when I read that title, I start thinking of The Last Unicorn? >_>)

  6. Yes, definitely! This one sounds really great. I don't really see the point in royalty either, but I'm totally okay with reading books about it. ;) Fabulous pick, Sarah!
